Comparative Forms
In German when you compare two things, people, places, etc- you only need to add the letters er to the adjective. Es ist sehr einfach. In some cases, you may also need to add an umlaut to a vowel (alt becomes älter, jung becomes jünger and so on)

Bellringer: Deutschland ein schönes Land
Deutschland ist wirklich ein schönes Land. Das Land hat drei große Flüsse: der Rhein, die Donau, und die Elbe. Es gibt Wälder überall in Deutschland mit vielen Bäumen. Schwarzwald ist im Süden von Deutschland und ist sehr schön. Deutschland hat auch eine Küste im Norden. Dort ist es ziemlich windig und das Land ist flach. Man kann hier ein gemütliches Picknick bei der See haben. Die Natur ist wirklich sehr schön in Deutschland. Ein Land mit Gebirge, Wiesen, Felder, und sogar Inseln. Was für ein Abendteuer!

Past Tense Tafelarbeit (Present Perfect)
Hier ist die Tafelarbeit für heute. If you missed class, you need to translate these sentences into German. Use the giant list of past participle sheet you have been given. Remember you must use an auxiliary in German. It is either sein or haben. Most of the time it is haben, as discussed in class. On your sheet, it is marked with the indicator (ist) if it is a sein verb. Also, the past participle always is kicked to the end of the sentence in the present perfect tense.
Example 1
We visited Grandpa.
Wir haben Opa besucht.

My dog ate spaghetti
Mein Hund hat Spaghetti gegessen.
